Too fast to see Life’s treasures

In the church where peace abides,

Where my mummy and daddy softly sleep,

I’ve hurried past the sacred sights,

Too fast to see, too blind to weep……

The statue stands, serene and still,

Mother Mary, pure and bright,

Lilies bloom beside her feet,

A silent prayer, a whispered light…..

I never stopped to truly see,

The beauty in the quiet space,

Rushing through my busy days,

Life’s treasures lost in endless race…….

But now I pause, my heart at rest,

I feel the peace that I once missed,

Life’s gentle grace in every leaf,

In every moment we exist………

The world is vast, and time is brief,

But when we slow, we start to find,

The love, the light, the endless gifts,

That bloom within the quiet mind…….
